I couldn't resist these lovely photos of Audrey Hepburn and her pet deer called Pippin. Yes, it really was her pet and apparently followed her absolutely everywhere. She really made caring for  an animal look very graceful, don't you think? 

I love the following quote by her - maybe it's not directly linked to animals but nevertheless it talks of the right kind of qualities...

"For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone".
