Dear poor

e

... or dear paw to be more specific. This evening as I was feeding all the little furry bundles I almost had to rub my eyes to see if I really did see it right - that Tiny's paw was this size. Double its normal size! It's difficult to say what happened - we've got some seriously horrible brambles around here and even though we tried to remove them all it's difficult to keep cats from walking into neighboring fields. Or it could be a bee sting... the little ones unfortunately love trying to catch anything that flies. Or a snake bite. Wish I knew. Anyway... he was limping but luckily had a healthy appetite. The vet said not to worry unless he was salivating or in a depressed state. He wasn't exactly jumping about with his friends... he took a more quiet approach - watching the games and play from a distance.  I'm sure it must be throbbing and quite painful. So fingers crossed that the swelling will have gone down by tomorrow.

More updates soon.

oh gosh, that paw is huge!! Sending purrs for a quick healing from whatever caused the swelling.
Poor Tiny, I know you will keep us posted...I am wondering what happened. The poor thing...maybe something stepped on it? That was probably a dumb thought but you never know...I hope we hear good news!

Poor baby, it must be painful. My little one had the same thing happen but it was a bee sting. She got a jab and it was fine. Hope your baby is better soon. Hugs.
Poor Tiny ~ we hope his paw is tons better soon. Purrs.

When cats play they bite and scratch each other. My son's cat had this happen. If you can have someone help you hold the kitty---look at the leg. If you feel a scab where this began---pull it off. Pus will most likely come out. But that will help relieve the pressure. Then ask a vet for some antibiotics that you can give. Hopefully it's already better on it's own. Good luck.

Crossing my fingers a bit delayed, but..hope it is better by now!? Don´t know if it works with cats, but if humans get a swelling, it often help to keep the toe in lukewarm water with brown soap, or with a half onion in the water, which takes out the infection. Toes and fingers crossed!
